Freud 99-762: 1-11/16 Premier Rail & Stile Bit - Shaker

The Premier Adjustable Rail & Stile Shaker Style router bit system from Freud features a 1-11/16" (dia.) bit with a 1/2" shank, perfect for creating "rattle free" flat panel doors. With an overall length of 3-3/4", these router bits are versatile and easy to use.

These router bits are designed to create doors in the range of 5/8 inch to 1-1/4 inch door thickness, making them perfect for a variety of projects. They are equipped with adjustable shims that allow for a tight fit when using plywood panels and the ability to use thick panels ranging from 5.5mm to 6.35mm.

The unique cutter geometry of these bits virtually eliminates tearout, ensuring a clean and precise cut every time. The top portion of the cutter, including the bearing and spindle, can be removed to produce the front of the long tenon profile for blind tenons, through tenons, or bridle joints.

Freud's Perma-Shield coating reduces heat and pitch build up, as well as rust, while their TiCo Hi-Density Carbide maximizes bit life and material finish. Optional cutters are available for double profile doors with variable thicknesses, allowing for perfect matching profiles on all doors.

The set produces a Shaker Style profile and all bits have 1/2 inch shanks. Specs include an overall Dia. of 1-11/16", an overall Length of 3-3/4", and a Shank Dia. of 1/2". With five different profiles to choose from and the ability to create extra-strong long tenon joints, these router bits are a must-have for any woodworking project.
