Freud Double Flute Straight Bit 3/16 with 1/4 Shank

Freud's 3/16-inch (Dia.) Double Flute Straight Bit is a precision ground carbide tool with a grain size smaller than other grades, and includes titanium for added resistance to chemical attack. In an effort to promote safer woodworking practices, Freud has developed anti-kickback router bits. These bits are computer balanced to ensure a vibration-free operation at speeds above the typical 22,000 RPMs of most routers, prioritizing safety for woodworkers without additional cost.

With a cut diameter of 3/16-inch, a cut length of 1/2-inch, and a shank diameter of 1/4-inch, this router bit features two cutters, an overall diameter of 3/16 inches, and an overall length of 2 inches. The carbide height is 1/2 inch. Additionally, the bit is coated with Black I.C.E. for a cool cutting edge and superior chip evacuation.

The combination of Black I.C.E. coating and Freud TiCo Hi-Density Carbide results in a doubling of the bit's lifespan and performance compared to standard uncoated bits.
